All In Startup (Diana Kander, 2014)

  • Startup focus on finding customers than building products, people buy solutions to their problems. Entrepreneurs are detectives and not fortune teller, entrepreneurs are luck maker and not risk taker
  • It is how well you lose, not how well you win that determines whether you get to keep playing
  • Sell what people actually need and not vision
  • If you are not solving a migraine problem, you need a lot of time and money to let people know you are out there
  • Potential customers will be more open if you don’t try to sell them something
  • Always ask a potential customer on someone else you can interview
  • Don’t commit all-in until you prove that customers want your product and there is a business model to support it
