- Power of belief: think success and not failure, remind yourself you are better than you are, believe big
- Common excusitis: health (no perfect specimen of health, don’t talk about it, don’t worry), brains (don’t overestimate the other fellow’s brainpower, attitude is more important than intelligence), age (invest in future time), bad luck (cause and effect, don’t be a wishful thinker)
- Countering fears: be decisive and stick to your decision, isolate your fear and take actions, deposit only positive thoughts in your memory bank, withdraw only positive thoughts
- Good attitude builds confidence: underneath he is probably a very nice guy, most folks are
- Confidence: be a front seater, make eye contact, walk faster, speak up, smile big
- Know thyself and know just knowing thy negative self
- Think big: determine your 5 chief assets and get to know who are those who greatly achieved them
- Think big vocabulary: big and positive and cheerful words (how are you? I am wonderful), bright and favourable words to describe others (he is a wonderful fellow), positive language to encourage others (praise and compliment), positive words to outline plans (we face a genuine opportunity)
- Notice a customer’s lifetime value instead of just immediate value; add value to things, people and yourself
- Battle trivialities: focus on the big objective, ask yourself if it is important before becoming negatively excited, don’t become submerged under surface issues
- When you really believe something can be done, your mind goes to work for you and helps you find the ways to do it
- Strengthen creativity through asking and listening: encourage others to talk, test your own views in form of questions, concentrate on what other person says
- A mind that feeds only on itself soon is undernourished
- Seeking advice from a failure is like consulting a quack on how to cure cancer
- Grow the attitude of I’m activated, you are important and service first
- To activate others and get them be enthusiastic, you must first be enthusiastic yourself
- People do more when they feel important - practice appreciation, calling people by their names and don’t hog glory but invest it invest
- Learn to remember names, be a comfortable person, acquire the quality of relaxed easy-going, don’t be egotistical, cultivate the quality of being interesting, get the scratchy elements out of your personality, sincerely attempt to heal every misunderstanding you had, practice liking people genuinely, never miss an opportunity to say a word of congratulation, give spiritual strength to people
- Win friends: introduce yourself at every opportunity, be sure the person gets your name straight, pronounce the person’s correctly, write down other person’s name, drop personal note to make them feel you want to know them better, say pleasant things to strangers, recognise no person is perfect, recognise other person has a right to be different, don’t be a reformer

- The action habit: be a activationist and a doer, don’t wait until conditions are perfect because they never will, execution > ideas, use action to cure fear and gain confidence, start your mental engine mechanically, think in term of now, get down to business - pronto, be a crusader pick up the ball and run, get in gear and go
- When often a problem is too long - back off and start afresh
- Social improvement in 10 years: what kind of friends I want to have? What social group I want to join? What community leadership positions I would like to hold? What worthwhile causes I want to champion?
